Cosmepawlogy Policies

At our Salon, we thrive on providing each and every client who walks through the doors the best possible service we can offer. That’s why we have some basic policies in place to ensure everyone enjoys their Cosmepawlogy experience.

All pets are required to be up to date on their vaccinations. We require proof of Rabies, Bordatella and Distemper for dogs and FVRCP and Rabies for Cats. Vaccinations must be given 10 days or more before appointment. Proof must be shown prior to appointment and no pet will be brought into the salon for services without vaccination records on file. You can send a copy of your pets vaccines records via text to 812-390-4701, email to info@cosmepawlogy.com or by bringing a copy to your appointment. If I have not received proof of vaccines 24 hours before the appointment, your appointment will be canceled. It is the owners responsibility to make sure their pet's vaccinations are up to date and on file. Cosmepawlogy is not responsbile for calling your vet or aquiring your records.

Clients are required to give a minimum of 24 HOUR notice when canceling an appointment. Appointments canceled less than 24 hours before their scheduled time will incur a 50% cancellation fee due before you can reschedule. If you need to cancel and it is after hours, please leave a message, text or email the salon. Cancellations will be considered from the time that you communicated so please do not wait until we are open to call. Advanced notice allows us to fill that appointment.

Clients that are more than 15 minutes late without prior approval, do not have current vaccination records or who do not show up for their appointment without communicating beforehand will incur a cancellation fee of 75% of the cost of scheduled services. Clients who no show on their first appointment with us will be required put a card on file and to prepay for their next appointment in full which will be non-refundable if they no show again. Repeat no shows may be grounds from removal from our schedule.

If your pet is matted your groomer will discuss options with you. In some cases dematting is an option, but not all. If your pet is not a good candidate for dematting, your pet will be required to be shaved. Dematting can be uncomfortable for you pet and not all pets are good candidates due to severity of matting or the dogs behavior during grooming. We always strive to leave as much hair as possible. Matted shave down charges start at $15 and increase based on severity of the matting. The extra fee is due to extra time required to carefully work through the matting and increased wear and tear on our equipment. Often times matted pets must be shaved prior to the bath and again after the bath which takes double the time. Dogs with matting are more susceptible to irritation and minor cuts and scrapes during the grooming process due to the tightness of the matting. Additionally, removing matting may expose existing skin conditions that were not noticeable until the matting was removed, or that may have been caused by the matting. Cosmepawlogy will not be responsible for matted related injuries or existing conditions caused by matting. If you refuse to allow us to shave down your pet if severe matting is present your appointment will be canceled and the no show appointment policy will apply.
